About Us

Started in 2007 as a way to fund our fibre habit, Sweet Paprika has grown and our business now includes hand-dyed yarn, kits, patterns and classes. Our goal is to make beautiful yarns that complement any knitting or crochet project. We also strive to create patterns that are wearable, fun to make, and classically stylish. Since moving to Montreal in 2008 we’ve been building our community of fellow fibre enthusiasts here, and have taught many new friends to knit and crochet.

Debbie

While Debbie enjoys working with textiles of all kinds, yarn is a particular obsession. She loves starting with undyed yarn and working her way to a finished garment. Another outlet for Debbie’s creativity is her double life working on costumes, sets, and lighting for theatre and film. You can find her on Ravelry and Craftsy as DeborahClare.

Elizabeth

Elizabeth loves sharing her passion for yarn and enjoys watching her friends get addicted to knitting. She’s always dreaming up new designs and imagining all the wonderful things she could make if only there were more hours in the day. Always busy, Elizabeth also works as a freelance technical editor of knitting and crochet patterns, and as a Pilates instructor. You can find her on Ravelry and Craftsy as sweetpaprika.
