US Shipping Update - August 2025
- Due to the current uncertainty about how the removal of the de minimus exemption on August 29 will be handled, we are going to temporarily pause our shipments to the US.
- Our last shipments under the de minimus exemption will be processed Monday, August 25. We believe that many of our yarns will be exempt from tariffs under CUSMA, but we’re not sure yet exactly what systems and documentation we’ll need to put into place in order to start shipments to the US again. We will temporarily disable shipments to the US on our website as of Monday, Aug 25, but hope to re-instate them soon. Please follow us on social media or join our mailing list for updates.
- FOR OUR CLUB MEMBERS:
We will be shipping this month’s Skill Builder club boxes to US members a little early, they’ll go out on August 25th in order to get them to you before the de minimus exemption ends. We should have systems in place to start shipping to the US again before our next club shipments (for the Beyond Merino club at the end of September and the Skill Builder Boxes in early November) but if that changes for any reason we will contact club members directly by email.
Shipping Charges
- We offer $12 flat rate tracked shipping to Canada and the US
- We offer $9 flat rate tracked shipping to Canada and the US for orders over $100
- We offer free tracked shipping to Canada and the United States on orders over $200.
- Shipping charges for international destinations are calculated according to Canada Post's shipping rates.
- All flat rate and free shipping options include tracking.
- Skill Builder Box and Beyond Merino yarn club subscriptions: Shipping for our bi-monthly yarn club boxes will be charged at a $10 flat rate for Canada and the US. All subscription boxes will be shipped with tracking.
- Colour Wheel Adventures yarn club subscriptions: Shipping for our monthly yarn club boxes is free within Canada (oversized lettermail) and $5 flat rate for the US (untracked small packet). If you wish to upgrade to tracked shipping, please contact us before subscribing.
Delivery Time
- All packages will be shipped via Canada Post, UPS, or other courier service. Please contact us before placing your order if you would prefer us to use a particular service.
- Orders will be shipped within 3 business days. If you're in a hurry to get your yarn, please contact us and we'll confirm if we're able to ship your order sooner so you can cast on right away!
- If an item you ordered is out of stock or we are unable to fill your order within this time frame for any other reason, we will contact you by email.
- In general you should receive your order within one to two weeks of the date you receive your shipping confirmation email. Overseas orders may take longer depending on which shipping option you choose.
Studio Pickup
If you're in the Montreal area, you have the option to pick up your order at the Sweet Paprika studio to save the shipping charges. Our studio is located in St-Henri at 137 Saint-Ferdinand, Suite 223.
We're on the second floor; if you have mobility difficulties or are unable to climb the stairs for any reason we will be happy to bring your order to the front entrance.
Our studio is open by appointment only. You can contact us in advance by phone or email to arrange a time for pick up, or we will reach out by email to schedule a time after you place your order.
