Learn the basics of knitting!


Join Noémie for an afternoon of knitting! In this 2-hour beginner-friendly workshop, you'll learn to knit your first stitches and master the basics: casting on, knit and purl stitches, and casting off.

All materials are provided (including yarn and needles), and you'll leave with everything you need to continue your knitting journey at home!

This is an beginner workshop. No previous experience is required.

  • Date: Saturday, Sept 12, 2026
  • Time: 1-3pm
  • Location: Sweet Paprika Studio (4035 rue St-Ambroise, room 292, Montreal)
  • Fee: $45 + tax (includes all materials)
  • Language: This is a bilingual workshop (English & French)
  • This workshop is open to adults, and children 12+ accompanied by an adult participant
  • Workshop will run with a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 8 students.

Cancellation policy: We require payment in full in order to reserve a space. We have a 5-day cancellation policy. Your payment will not be refunded unless you cancel at least 5 days before the workshop start time. We reserve the right to cancel classes due to low enrollment. Should this occur, all class fees will be refunded.

About the Instructor

As a visual and textile artist, Noémie Weinstein has been teaching knitting for over 10 years, guiding enthusiasts of all skill levels, from absolute beginners to experienced knitters.

She loves knitting her own sweaters and sharing the joy of making one’s own garments. Her classes cover a wide range of techniques, from fundamental basics to more complex projects.
