Expand your skills with our Lace Knitting Box

Lace knitting is a timeless art form that has enchanted knitters since it became popular during the 1800s. At its core, lace knitting creates an enchanting interplay of positive and negative space by using yarn overs to form artful holes balanced with thoughtful decreases.

If you'd like to try your hand at lace knitting, this Skill Builder Box is the perfect starting point! For this box we teamed up with Gabrielle Vézina, who created the Greenlace Shawl pattern specifically for learning lace knitting. The beginner-friendly triangular shawl gradually introduces simple lace stitches lace, building up to a more intricate motif. The lace patterns are given in both charted and written form.

Your Lace Knitting box will include two packets:

  • Part 1 will include enough pre-wound yarn to jump in and start knitting some practice swatches right away, and links to the photo and video tutorials to guide you in your explorations.
  • Part 2 will include the link to download the Greenlace Shawl pattern by Gabrielle Vézina, and two skeins of our Messa di Voce fingering weight hand-dyed yarn.

Debbie and Elizabeth will be your guides as you explore lace knitting, and you'll be invited to join our private online discussion group where you can ask any questions you might have and share photos of your project!
