About the Instructor

Tara Morris is a fibre artist based out of Ottawa, Ontario. She takes inspiration from Canada’s diverse landscape to weave scenes of land, water and sky. By combining traditional weaving techniques with unique textured and layered components, she is able to create tactile pieces which feel as dynamic and alive as the landscapes they portray. Tara weaves with natural fibres such as wool, cotton, silk and alpaca ; this provides each piece with an organic palette and allows her to represent the true beauty of nature with nature itself.
