Winfield is a lofty 2-ply worsted weight with great stitch definition. This yarn is 100% Canadian, made with a dorset-base down type wool sourced from Ontario, spun in New Brunswick, and hand-dyed in our Montreal studio. Winfield has a beautifully “toothy” texture and comes in 20 rich and vibrant shades, making it a perfect choice for colourwork.

You can read more about the origins of this yarn on our blog.

Dyed to order skeins will ship within 3 weeks of order date.

Featured Pattern: Frost and Twilight Mitts

Two pairs of mittens, adult pair is dark blue with natural contrast, child's pair has colours reversed

Originally designed in our Staccato yarn, this mitten pattern works beautifully with Winfield. They are a quick knit and if you reverse the colours you should be able to get at least two pairs of mittens out of two skeins of Winfield.

Eventually we settled on working with wool from Circle R Livestock, a family farm in southern Ontario operated by Romy and Ryan Schill and their children.
