Revolution Wool Co. Polypay - Fingering Weight (limited edition)

1 item left

We have a limited amount of extra Polypay skeins from our March box for the Beyond Merino Yarn Club. which we're now making available for everyone.

Our second yarn for the 2025 edition of the Beyond Merino club is a custom-spun wool that we created by collaborating with two partners: Revolution Wool Co. and Wave Fibre Mill.

Polypay sheep are the result of a breeding program at the USDA Sheep Experimentation Station in Idaho in the early 1970s, crossing Dorset, Targhee, Finn, and Rambouillet. Polypay wool is relatively fine, and the fleeces are high-yielding.

3-ply yarns have a nice strength and roundness to them, so combining these qualities with the Polypay fleece gives a yarn with a lot of versatility. This yarn has a lovely balance of lustre and elasticity, and it knits up nicely on a range of needle sizes. It works beautifully for colourwork, lace, and texture and would also be great for crochet or weaving projects.

Notes

"Gooseberry" was this month's cool colour option, "Kumquat" was the warm option, and "Blueberry" was the dark option.
